Regional Roundtable of Wage Equality Best Practices
On November 10, 2015 the Greater Lowell Workforce Development Board participated in a Regional Roundtable on Wage Equality Best Practices presented by State Treasurer Deb Goldberg & the Office of Economic Development. As part of her leadership on the issue of wage equality Treasurer Deb Goldberg announced the creation of a new statewide Advisory Committee on Wage Equality, committed to developing innovative best practices and strategies to address the Commonwealth’s wage gap. Regional roundtables were conducted across the state to get input from businesses and stakeholders on wage inequality. The Roundtable was hosted by the University of Massachusetts Lowell and panelists included Dr. Jacqueline Moloney, Chancellor, University of Massachusetts Lowell; Joseph Hungler, Executive Director, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Lowell; Bopha Malone, Branch Relationship Manager Enterprise Bank; Danielle McFadden, President & CEO, Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce; Patricia A. Parcellin, CEO Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts and Gail Brown, Director, Greater Lowell Workforce Development Board.
